Brief Overview

ForumFlux is going to be a website that specializes in selling designs (skins) for forums. We are not a custom design shop, but instead we resell premade templates at a low cost (ie: TemplateMonster). Similar websites are Skinbox, ExtremePixels, vBSkinworks, TransverseStyles, CompletevB, IPBForumSkins, SkinGround, and ForumMonkeys. NOTE – These are not examples of websites we would like our design to mimic. These are just similar sites to look at to understand our business.

Requirements

We’re looking for a new website design. We want a “big picture” and “cartoony” feel. See these examples below for a visual representation of the STYLE (not theme) we we want:

For the THEME, think “Flux”, something fluid, electric, lively, alien/extraterrestrial, etc. Nothing too dark, but weird and fun instead.

Keep in mind we are in the business of selling designs. While we don’t want a cookie-cutter corporate/professional design, our look and feel must still portray professionalism.

We’ve attached 3 wireframes for you as a starting point. We are not set on any particular layout, so feel free to use your own.

No set color scheme – anything that is light to medium/dark colored works. We’ll accept anything except for ultra dark (black) designs.

We will ultimately need two pages – one homepage and one content page. The homepage is the main design. The content page is basically a stripped down version of the homepage – the content page should have a big, blank area in the middle that we can use to put text inside of. We only need for you to submit the homepage design to the contest, however, when we choose a winner, we will require both a homepage and a content page as deliverables.

Homepage should have:
- Logo/Company Name (your creation)
- Navigation (6 links)
- Footer (4 links)
- Place to spotlight one of our designs and an area for a glimpse at other designs (ie: http://jameslaicreative.com/)
- 1-2 big “call to action” buttons (ie: “Shop Now!” or “Buy One, Get One Free!”)
- Small area(s) for text/announcements for us to give an overview of our website or announce recent changes, sales, etc.

Content page should have:
- Logo/Company Name (your creation)
- Navigation (6 links)
- Footer (4 links)
- Blank area in the middle for us to fill

Remember – we do not necessarily need to see the content page previewed here, however, if your design is selected, you will need to be able to convert your homepage to a content page and provide both to us.

Please deliver final product in .PSD format

Brief Overview

I am a marketing director obsessed with lead generation and slick websites. My company is a leading software company whose clients are banks and credit unions in the US.

We are innovative, young, ambitious, and growing fast. Our corporate culture is entrepreneurial, agile, customer-oriented, high energy, and friendly.

Our website’s main goals are to:
1. Establish ourselves as a thought-leader in our industry. We are featured frequently in trade publications and actively blog about the goings-on in our industry.
2. Generate leads. We use our website to generate a substantial amount of leads from both paid and organic searches. The website needs to have contact forms and downloads all over it.
3. Portray the image of a $100 million software company that dominates our industry.
4. Show we are savvy with social media. We have an active Twitter and Linked-in profile.

Our desired audience are credit union and bank executives searching for software solutions online. They will have either heard of us in the industry or will have come across us doing a search or have seen something we published in a trade publication.

We want to show that we have a lot of value to contribute to their organizations and that we are well-informed leaders in the industry.

The theme should be a complete departure from our current website. It needs to be fixed-width, with center orientation.

There need to be 8 basic templates. They will all be heavily based on the home page.

3. Contact Page (I want to use Gravity forms plugin for the contact forms.)
4. About Us Company Page
5. Executive Profile Page
6. Blog Page
7. Landing Page (Think hardcore lead generation.)
8. Webinars – Listing of future and past (view on demand) webinars for viewing after login.

Ideally I would like to have a 2 column basic layout with a horizontal navigation bar. I want to be able to embed contact forms within the right column.
